Mint Floors is awarded FSC Certification

Even more peace of mind as Mint Floors & Shutters achieve FSC certification.

Mint Floors and Shutters has just received the FSC certification, ensuring that our products come from well managed forests.

FSC makes it easier for manufacturers and consumers to make informed choices on where their wood material is coming from and how it was harvested.

Mint Floors & Shutters’ certified products will qualify for the FSC Pure designation, as they are 100-percent FSC material from an FSC-certified forest and have been sold and/or processed by an FSC chain-of-custody certified company.

Mint Floors founder Jon Holst said. “We have been working hard towards a more conscious approach with our products and suppliers and we’re grateful to FSC for validating our efforts.”

FSC standards have been developed to protect the forests’ biodiversity and ecological processes.  This means that if you are looking at an FSC certified product you know that the soil and wildlife habitat has been protected, local communities were consulted and aboriginal rights were respected. An FSC certification also considers that forestry operations be cost effective while not compromising the environmental health of the forest.
